Terms and Conditions:

These terms apply to all rugs designed, made and sold by Molly Rugburn.

By placing an order with Molly Rugburn, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

one. For all custom and bespoke rugs, we will provide design drawings and specifications for your review and approval. It is your responsibility to carefully check the approved design, including size, design, colours, materials, construction method, pile heights, and any special requirements or notes. Please check all details before approving the design. Once the final design has been approved, production will proceed based on the agreed specifications, and changes may not be possible.

two. Any original design work created by Molly Rugburn remains the intellectual property of Molly Rugburn. Artwork or designs supplied by the client remain the intellectual property of the client.

three. Where the client supplies artwork, the client is responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate rights and permissions to use the design. We will not knowingly copy or reproduce another person’s work without permission.

one. Production will begin once the required payment has been received and the order has been confirmed.

two. Quotes and invoices are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise agreed. If payment is not received within this period, we may need to review and reissue the quote or invoice.

one. Production lead times begin once the final design and specifications have been approved and the required payment has been received. Design development and approval time are not included in the production lead time.

two. Production generally takes 8–12 weeks for flatweave and hand tufted rugs and 12–16 weeks for hand knotted rugs, with more intricate hand knotted designs taking longer, plus approximately 2 weeks for shipping. We will provide an estimated timeframe when an order is confirmed. However, lead times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.

one. Payment terms will be outlined in every quote or invoice.

two. A 50% deposit is required before production can begin for custom and commissioned rugs, unless otherwise agreed. The remaining balance must be paid in full before the rug is dispatched to the customer.

three. Bank fees, international transfer fees and other payment processing costs are the responsibility of the customer.

one. All custom and bespoke rugs are handmade, so slight variations in colour, weave, texture and size are a natural part of the process. A tolerance of approximately ±3% may apply. These variations are considered characteristics of handmade rugs.

two. We use the ARS colour system. However, colours can vary slightly between dye batches and materials, particularly with hand-dyed fibres. Colours shown on screens may also differ from the final rug. We cannot guarantee an exact colour match between digital images, colour references and the finished rug.

three. Rug dimensions may vary by approximately ±3% due to the stretching, washing and drying processes involved in producing a handmade rug.

one. Custom and made-to-order rugs are made specifically for each project. Once a deposit has been paid and production has started, these rugs cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded unless there is a confirmed fault with the rug.

two. For ready-made rugs that are in stock, returns can be requested within 14 days of receiving your order. The rug must be unused and returned in its original condition and packaging.

three. If a rug has been altered in any way, such as being reshaped, cut to size, inset or modified to accommodate floor boxes, it will be considered a custom order and will be subject to our custom rug terms. Altered rugs cannot be returned or refunded.

four. When returning a rug, please make sure it is securely and appropriately packaged to prevent damage during transit. Rugs that are returned used, dirty or damaged may not be eligible for a refund.

five. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to a confirmed fault with the rug.

six. Please include your name and order number with your return so we can identify your order and process your return promptly.

seven. For international returns, please contact us before sending the rug back so we can provide the appropriate return instructions. Customs duties, taxes and other import charges are the responsibility of the customer and cannot be refunded by Molly Rugburn. Any refund of these charges will need to be requested directly through the relevant customs authority.

eight. Samples must be returned within 30 days of receiving them, unless otherwise agreed. If a sample is kept beyond this period, the sample deposit may not be refunded.

one. A GST of 10% will be applied to orders where required under Australian tax regulations.

two. For international orders, GST may not be charged by Molly Rugburn, depending on the destination and applicable tax requirements. Any local taxes, import duties, customs charges, clearance fees or other charges imposed by the destination country are the responsibility of the customer.

three. It is the customer’s responsibility to check the applicable customs, tax and import requirements before placing an international order. Molly Rugburn is not responsible for these charges and cannot guarantee the amount that may be payable.

four. If you choose to refuse delivery of an order due to customs charges, duties or other import costs, this does not automatically entitle you to a refund. Any costs incurred in returning the rug to Molly Rugburn, including shipping, customs or handling charges, may be deducted from any refund provided.
